Sometimes an event comes along and you can’t believe it.
We used to mention about film premieres in London but stopped because the popular premieres were just too popular.
If you wanted to see your favourite stars up close and personal you had to get there early, wait in the cold and then just get a glimpse. If you’re still up for that you can always read our London Film Premiere Tips Guide.
Well one of the biggest premieres of the year, Gambit, is on Wednesday 7th in Leicester Square and the stars usually show up between 6pm – 7pm.
But here’s what I don’t get.
On the Apple Store site if you scroll down to the 7th November they say that Cameron Diaz, Colin Firth, Alan Rickman, Tom Courtenay and the director of the film, Michael Hoffman will be at the store between 8pm – 9pm.
They’re going to be discussing the film and will probably do a question and answer session at the end.
If that event goes on, one I don’t know how those stars are going to get to see the film at the premiere and get to the store.
And secondly forget about going to the premiere as these Apple events are as intimate as you’re ever likely to get with a star. You’ll be right there able to see them properly and for a full hour.
As usual Apple are saying to get there early because seating is limited and it’s always on a first come basis. It’s a free event and I know it’s going to be packed out.
As I said I don’t know how this event is going to go ahead. So my advice would be to double check with the store and the Apple site nearer the time to make sure it’s still on.
Here’s the recap. Cameron Diaz, Colin Firth, Alan Rickman, Tom Courtenay and the director Michael Hoffman will be at the Apple store on Regent Street on the 7th November between 8pm – 9pm.
Thanks for your time.
