Eat at a StreetSmart restaurant and make a difference to London homeless

A few hours earlier in the men’s restroom in the HQ of a top London bank:

You’ll never get her to go with you, she’s too much of a goody two shoes, she’ll see right through that fake charm, a monkey says she won’t even let you touch her arm.

It’s all about research and not being an amateur, she’s into charity and all that palaver, that’s her weak spot and then you’ll see, who’s at the meeting tomorrow looking sheepish or full of glee.

Let the story begin

What a day… let’s go for a treat

Let me take you somewhere nice to eat

Have some cool Champagne, an oyster or two

Then back to the Wharf just me and you

Remember I’m not a banker like you

These notes have to be written up for the meeting at noon

And have you forgotten about Clive

How would he feel if he saw me by your side?

All work and no play

Will leave you with bags that won’t go away

A glass of fizz where’s the harm in that

And if Clive was serious, he wouldn’t be sat at the flat

You know I know about all your women

Wine and dine them, them leave before the morning

And you’ve got that bankers nonchalant stare

Oblivious of what’s going on to the rest of us here

Fair point, that’s true, I was like that

But I’m not a leopard I’ve changed my act

The restaurant I’m talking about is part of StreetSmart

As we’re enjoying ourselves, we’re helping the homeless out

What do you know about StreetSmart?

I’ve supported them from the start

Clive never told me you were into all that

What has Clive been saying, come on tell me in the cab

A bottle of Roederer kind sir

This restaurant is nice

It is now that you’re here

Your flattery won’t work so you can stop all of that

But cheers and thank you for that

I don’t care what you say but you really do look nice

And if I…

That strange there’s no StreetSmart card on the table

Waiter where’s the StreetSmart card at

StreetSmart what’s that?

You know you really are a sneaky prat

Using StreetSmart and putting on this act

Never trust a banker is what Clive always said

(Did you see that she just threw Champagne over his head)

StreetSmart is one of the easiest and best things you can support in November and December by eating out in one of the participating restaurants. You can donate £1 or more and you’ll be helping the homeless in London click StreetSmart for more details.
