Dreams can come true at a free Royal Philharmonic concert in Canary Wharf

by Chris P on 06/07/2011

royal philharmonic orchestra play classic film themes in london

A warm summer breeze and twilight comes down

It could be all so romantic

As you sit there with the prettiest girl in town

All the guys will look and stop and stare

The girls will just look at her shoes, weight and hair

Oh what a fantastic night you hope this will be

Your mind’s thinking ahead about the guise for some tea

Will she come up or will she just go

Lay the foundation here and it could all go very well.

So you pick her up at 3 for a lovely late brunch

The concert starts at 7 so you don’t have to rush

The conversation’s going fine and she’s laughing too

The only problem, the weather’s getting a bit cool

So you pay up and make your way to the Park

There are lots of people there already

But you find a good spot and wait for the start

The music strikes up, it’s Schindler’s List

She whispers this is lovely and gives you a little kiss.

More classic tunes play through the night

The Royal Philharmonic seem to be playing for their lives

You feel it’s getting cold so you put your jacket on her

She beams back and snuggles in closer

The final tune plays and everyone applauds

You get up and she says mine or yours.

Enjoy a free live concert at Canada Square Park at Canary Wharf today at 7pm. It’s free and the Royal Philharmonic will be playing classic film themes such as Out of Africa, Schindler’s List and a special James Bond medley, make sure you check the weather though.
