With all the talk about the Olympics timetable last week I was surprised that no one was mentioning about the Olympic Walking Tours that you can go on to see the building of the stadium and athletes village.
These walks having been going on for a while but I bet most people have forgotten about them, so as a reminder here are some details if you’re looking for something different to do with the kids this week or just want to see what’s going on down there.
And if you’re thinking what’s the point of going, well let’s face it the chances of getting a ticket to one of the stadium events when the Olympics are on is going to be pretty slim so these walks could be your only chance of getting to see the stadium.
There are currently three different types of walks you can go on and they are all fully guided, there’s the Daily Olympic walk which starts in the morning, the Other Olympic walk in the afternoon and the Walk for Gold walk which is a full day tour of the three Olympic Games sites (1908 Games, 1948 Games and the 2012 Games).
Prices for the walks are very reasonable at £9 for the Daily and Other Olympic walks and £15 for the Walk for Gold walk and you can book online or just turn up which is good so you can check the weather before deciding to go.
So if you’re looking for something different to do in London give this a try and click Olympic Guided Walks for all the details.
