Colin Firth & Tom Hooper tell secrets about the Kings Speech at London venues

king's speech film still

Before Colin Firth made the Kings Speech he was doing what all good actors at various times in their career have to do, accepting good parts ( A Single Man), bad parts (St Trinian’s) and weird parts (The Last Legion) just to keep working and keep his name out there.

He probably couldn’t believe it when the Kings Speech part came up and once the word was out about how good it was and possible Oscar material, he’s been out promoting the film like he’s never had to do before.

For instance when most actors are promoting their new film they do the TV, radio and newspaper/magazine interviews and that’s about it, because really what else is there that you can do.

Well what about going to the Apple store on Regent Street! What the connection is between Apple and this film has passed me by and to me this is the strangest place for Colin Firth and the director Tom Hooper to be going for a Q & A about the film. It’s not like they’re going to be showing the film at the store, so why not pick a cinema in central London where it is showing and do the Q & A there.

And what makes this even stranger is that later on in the evening they are going to do a Q & A in a cinema, but they’re doing it down South in Clapham in the Picturehouse cinema.

All very strange but if meeting him up close and finding out some more about the film is one of the things you’d like to do, you’ll need to get to the Apple store way before the official start because seats are limited, start time is 6.30pm and it goes on until 7.30pm.

Seeing as he’s then going to have to dash down to Clapham I’m sure it will end promptly because the people at the Clapham cinema will be expecting him after the film ends there. If you want to see him in Clapham the film starts there at 6.30pm.

Also if you have a car take a look at Ronnie’s new site CarBidOff.com or read the guide he did about how easy it is now to buy good cheap cars using the Internet.
