Baby won’t you sit for awhile
Let me see your beautiful smile.
Baby please sit for awhile
It won’t last forever.

On a cold January day, you came to play
I just wanted a piece of you that way.
Restless and unsure you agreed once more
You were warm to the touch, it was just cold enough.
You looked at me with those lovely eyes
A gentle nod, a slight sigh, I knew it was no time to be shy
But I had to turn away and look to see
Were the people going to watch you or me?

Baby won’t you sit for awhile
Let me see your beautiful smile.
Baby please sit for awhile
It won’t last forever.

We’re not in no car park now
And Collymore ain’t around
But I’m getting a high as people want to spy
At what we’re about.
I try to keep my eyes on you,
Working your shape,
Like I know they wish they could too
Jealous felines and little pups they just can’t get enough.

Baby won’t you sit for awhile
Let me see your beautiful smile.
Baby please sit for awhile
It won’t last forever.

I’m nearly through, but you can’t see
(You’re so beautiful baby)
Did I say that in my mind or say it loud
You’re smiling at me and look so proud
I come away to look at you proper
And take a moment to drink in my pleasure
Sighs of acknowledgement tell me what I’ve done
This could be my best one.

Baby won’t you sit for awhile
Let me see your beautiful smile.
Baby please sit for awhile
It won’t last forever.
