london weather in november wet and raining

(This post is for tourists visiting London with today’s weather forecast below)

Usually the weather in London in November isn’t very good. This is the month when it starts getting darker earlier, the days are shorter and it rains more.

In fact November is the second wettest month in London with the average rainfall being 58mm. This is only beaten by October.

But to be honest it doesn’t matter which is the wettest month, all you need to know is it’s going to rain a lot if you come here then.

As for temperatures the average high is not that bad at 10°C (50°F) with some days feeling a lot warmer than that. It’s on days like that with the autumn leaves falling that London is a picture perfect place to be.

However the average low of : 5°C (41°F) can soon bring you back to reality especially when the wind picks up, making it feel a lot colder.

Put that cold wind and rain together and you have a thoroughly horrible day.

With the November weather forecast being like this it’s not surprising there are very few outdoor events at this time of year. The Lord Mayor’s Festival is the biggest. To find other things to do in November click What’s on in London in November.
