Who would you prefer to meet Alan Sugar or Keith Richards in London?

So who would you prefer to meet if you had the chance, Alan Sugar, Keith Richards or what about Michael McIntyre or the Booker Prize Winner, Howard Jacobson?

It’s things to do like this that make you just love being in London, there’s nowhere else you could get the chance to meet all of these people in one week, admittedly Michael McIntyre is the weakest link but he’d still be a laugh to go and meet.

Well all of them will be doing book signings in London this week except Keith Richards, his one is next week on the 3rd November, but I’ll get back to that later.

Now although it’s great being in London for these book signings the organisers seem to have forgotten that people in London work the longest hours in the country, with what is rapidly becoming one of the worst transportation systems in the world.

So unless you work near the Waterstone’s in Piccadilly Circus or in Canary Wharf you’re not going to be able to get to the Alan Sugar or Michael McIntyre book signings in your lunch hour and back because Alan Sugar’s signing is at 1pm and Michael McIntyre’s at 12.30.

Thankfully they’ve been more sensible with Keith Richards, or more likely there was not a chance of them getting Keith to turn up before 5pm, which is when he’ll be doing his signing.

Why are book signings in London on at lunchtimes?

The point is all these signings should be in the evening or at weekends so that people working in London get the chance to attend, you don’t see film premieres held at lunchtime so why should book signings be held then?

Anyway back to the Keith Richards book signing, I’m letting you know about this well in advance because it’s going to be packed and this really is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close to the man.

The book signing is on November 3rd at Waterstone’s in Piccadilly, it’s down to start at 5pm but that’s not the important part, the important part is the event is limited to the first 450 people and there’s still no guarantee that you’ll meet him. You really need to click Keith Richards book signing in London for full details and call the store to get the insider low down.

As for the Alan Sugar book signing, that’s tomorrow at the Watersone’s Piccadilly at 1pm but again it’s on a first come first served basis, I should also say that he’ll also be at the Apple store in Covent Garden on Tuesday at 7pm doing an interview about the book and a Q& A afterwards.

Again that’s going to be limited tickets so if you want to go make sure you contact the Apple store asap, here’s their link.

Michael McIntyre is at the Waterstone’s in Canary Wharf this Thursday at 12.30 and Howard Jacobson is at Selfridges also on Thursday at 6.15 – 7pm.

There are other good things to do in London later this week but these are right up there. So like I said who would you prefer to meet if you had the chance, Alan Sugar, Keith Richards, Michael McIntyre or Howard Jacobson?
