Usain Bolt is the greatest sprinter we’re likely to see in our lifetime. If that’s true this will be a rare chance to see the man live in person in London.
Superstars don’t do this sort of thing very often and once he’s had to do it a few times, he’ll soon want to stop.
In the future being able to get this close to him will be impossible.
That’s why we told you about this event last week so that you could take time out, get prepared and ready for the queue.
However we might have been wrong. I certainly expected there to be a lot of press coverage and blog coverage about him coming. There hasn’t been. Do a Google for Usain Bolt book signings and you’ll see what I mean.
I’m sure tomorrow when the signing actually takes place there will be a lot more press coverage. Although I doubt any of the breakfast shows will be able to get him to come in early. But don’t take any chances, there could still be a surge in interest so be prepared for a lengthy queue.
The signing is at 1pm at Waterstone’s in Piccadilly, which opens at 9am. They’re saying access to the queue is on a first come basis meaning if the queue is looking too long they’ll shut it down.
Honestly, if you’re serious about seeing him get there near the opening time. Remember a lot of schools are still off and I’m sure every budding sprinter will want to meet him and read his book. My advice, get some provisions from the Tesco round the corner on the Haymarket and pitch up early.
Usain Bolt will be signing copies of his book, Usain Bolt: 9.58, on Thursday 2nd from 1pm at Waterstone’s in Piccadilly. Watersone’s are selling the book on their site for £14.99.
Thanks for your time.
