London film premiere of Tamara Drewe at Leicester Square Odeon

by Norm on 03/09/2010

We haven’t mentioned many London film premieres lately but I wanted to mention this one because it’s an all British Cast and British film deserves all the support it can get.

Most premieres in Leicester square are for big Hollywood films with at least one big film star so for this Brit film, Tamara Drewe, to get such treatment and the limelight they must know someone. As far as I can see Gemma Arterton and Dominic Cooper are the biggest stars in the film and no disrespect they’re hardly Hollywood A-listers.

It being a British film I would have thought all the actors would turn up and even if you don’t recognise their names, you should their faces so this is a good chance to get some autographs and pictures without the usual crush.

Apart from Gemma Arterton and Dominic Cooper I’m pretty sure you’ll also recognise people like Luke Evans, Roger Allam, Tamsin Greig and John Bett. Go down there and support them so hopefully the Odeon will give more British films a chance of such publicity.

The premiere’s on this Monday and as usual the stars won’t turn up till after 6pm but at least with this one I don’t think you need to get there much before 4pm to be able to get a good view. You can read our film premiere guide for more tips but I don’t think it applies that much to this premiere.

The London film premiere of Tamara Drewe is at the Odeon in Leicester Square on the 6th.
