A romantic evening in London at Canary Wharf that won’t cost you a thing

opera at canary wharfCanary Wharf is a capitalist dream

All the high towers and shimmering glass

It’s a wonder to be seen.

And right in all of this is a beggars bed

Busy in the day

But perfect at night for a vagrant head.

A patch of green where events are held

Small and intimate until the crowds swell.

But you feel part of something

Something special and nice

That’s why this Thursday

You shouldn’t think twice.

There’s going to be a romantic opera melody

Right there on the green

Suggest this to your lady

And she’ll think you’re a dream

You can’t go wrong with this

Believe what I say

It beats taking her down pub any day.

Puccini, Bizet, Mozart and more

Their music swirling in the air

Turning a dull London night

Into an enchanting time of splendour.

Captivating it will be

Free as well

But get there early

Because like I said the crowds do swell.

Enjoy a romantic opera evening in Canary Wharf this Thursday. There will be music from Puccini, Mozart and other classical composers sung by singers from various major opera houses. The event takes place at Canada Square Park at 7pm. Our weather forecast says it should be dry but click London weather nearer the time to be sure.
