Just when you think you know what’s on in London – the London Lasses appear

london lasses play in londonWhat’s on in London?

I already know some cry

If you think you know all that’s on say I

You’ve tired of London and must be ready to die.

Irish lads eyes are smiling

When they see the London lasses playing

Irish folk songs played and sung clear and true

It’s not what you’d think, it’s a jig, it’s peaceful, it’s spiritual.

With fiddles found at the crossroads and voices angels would fight for

Before you know it, you’ll be tapping your feet to their melodic beats

You don’t believe me, listen I don’t care

I can hear their music playing beautifully in my ear.

The Albert Hall Café Consort is where they’ll be

They’re playing this Friday at lunchtime for free

I know you’ve never heard of them neither had I

But don’t let that be the reason you pass this by.

Here, I’ll give you the link to hear some tracks

Put on some headphones, sit back and relax

Now some of the recordings aren’t that clear

But the quality of the band is there to hear.

The London Lasses play in the Albert Hall Café Consort this Friday from 12 noon to 1.30pm. The gig is free so just turn up.

Also if you’re just in London for the weekend take a look at our Short Stay EPok London Pack.
