Are you going to the Barbican Weekender – it’s going to be great

by Norm on 19/07/2010

By now you all probably know that I think the Barbican is one of the best places to go in London and this coming weekend is another good example of why.

They’re calling it the Barbican Weekender and there’s so much happening it’s pointless trying to write about the whole thing so if you just click Barbican Weekender I’ve put the link to all the Saturday events.

What I will do though is point out a couple of the things that I think will be particularly good such as the Get Lost maze and the brilliant sounding Head in a Box, Alice in Wonderland-esq event.

Mazes are always a good bit of fun, although I’m dying to see how they do this one because they say they’re holding it on the Lakeside Terrace, which I don’t think is that big, so we’ll just have to see.

And as for the Head in a Box, I just don’t know what to expect with this, but you know once they specifically say spaces are limited there’s a good chance it’s going to be very good and very popular so I’d say get there for the first showing at 11.30am.

You know I just can’t see why everyone wouldn’t want to be heading down to this, OK there’s the Ben & Jerry’s thing at Clapham Common, but that’s all sold out. I’m sure if one of the bigger museums was holding all of these activities it would be all over Twitter etc, but I’m telling you this is going to be a great event.

Here are the details again if you want to have a fun, free and different weekend that most other people will probably miss. The Barbican Weekender is on the 24th – 25th and most events start at 11.30am.
