You know sometimes it’s hard to write
When the only events coming up are barely alright
I mean what can you say about the Killers premiere in the Square?
Kutcher might come but who the hell cares?

Then there’s the Scoop normally with events solid and true
They’ve got choirs singing, commendable, but is that for you?
And Selfridges events right now aren’t worth the keyboard strokes
With such a poor showing they’ll get no pokes.

Book signings are scarce, good music too
Yes Riamba’s at St Martins but the good songs were too few.
But there are great events coming, if this was only next week
I’d be like a bear in Russia with salmon all around his feet.

So what do you do in London when the good events are few
That’s when you’ll wish you had the EPok London Pack to look through.
You can go to a nice restaurant and make a night of it
Or use one of the theatre vouchers and get a half-price ticket.

I think this week I got the short end of the straw
The other guys have got good things to write about I’m sure.
So I’m going to cut my losses I can’t write any more
My fall back recommendation is the Olympic walking tour.
