You don't have to strip off to enjoy cycling in London

Before I get into this post if you haven’t read Chris’s post yesterday, give it a go. I think it’s one of his best, you can read it in so many different ways. Standing ovay Chris P.

Back to today.

The things you learn about doing this blog constantly amaze me. I’ve lived in different parts of London all my life and I’d never heard of the Naked Bike ride.

Admittedly it’s only been going for 6 years. But it just shows how impossible it is to keep up with all the events that happen in London.

But finding out about this bike ride got me thinking. Cycling in London has to be one of the forgotten pleasures of things you can do here.

Then as often happens these days, out of the blue I was contacted about doing a review about an eBook on London cycle routes.

Now I know any Londoner reading this is thinking there’s no way they’re risking life and limb on London roads. I know, because that’s just how I felt.

But I now know the reason we feel like that is because we’re thinking about cycling in the wrong places.

Let’s face it, cycling around Elephant and Castle roundabout doesn’t look fun. To cycle round that every day without having an accident, you have to angels looking over you.

That’s why if you live in London or you’re visiting you should consider getting the 25 London Cycle Routes eBook. You’ll be able to experience cycling in London the enjoyable way.

You see most times when I’m asked to do a book review I take a quick look at the book and I politely say no. But this book definitely deserved a mention.

The book has cycle routes for all abilities and I have to say after looking through it I’m seriously thinking of hiring a bike. It’s that good.

It’s easy to read, the description of the routes is great, it tells you what to expect, where to hire bikes. It literally covers everything you need to know.

If like me you’ve never considered cycling in or around London you’re missing out. Yes you can go along to see the Naked Bike ride for whatever reasons you may have. Or you can get a copy of the eBook, hire a bike and go out and see London in a different way.

The Naked Bike ride takes place on Saturday 12th starting at Hyde Park at 3pm and you can get the 25 London Cycle Routes eBook from London Cyclist for £6.95.

Thanks for your time.

Also so that you don’t miss out on other things to do in London keep reading our blog.
