June is the start of London summer events
There’s lots more things to do
Some weird, odd and wonderful
And some you’ve got to be brave to go to.
–
Should I mention the Lates at museums
There was a time you could just walk in.
But now that everyone goes, they’re getting a drag
And queuing outside makes you look desperate and sad.
–
If you want to, have to, were told you should go
The Science museum on the last Wednesday is often a good show.
Also Thursdays and Fridays is when many play host
The V & A, Tates and National Portrait are better than most.
–
I think I should mention the ship
It’s up now and will be there for a while.
A ship in a bottle in Trafalgar Square
Representing multicultural London now.
–
And if you’re a fan of John Grisham, this one’s for you
He’ll be at the Faraday Theatre on the 9th June.
Tickets will go soon so book yours today
Here’s the number 020 7851 2419 please don’t delay.
–
Don’t think I’ve forgotten the kiddies, this one is a nice treat
There’s a kite flying festival all day in Blackheath.
Or try the family film club at the Barbican at the end of the month
Get tickets early because it’ll sell out, that’s my hunch.
–
There’s so much more to tell you
So much more to say
But if you want to know more
You’ll have to read the blog every day
–
To finish off, here’s the eye opener for the day
There’s going to be a Naked Bike ride, yes believe what I say.
They’ll be wearing nothing but a big smile and a hello
If you’re brave enough to spectate don’t look too far below.
