Things to do in London like seeing Nigella Lawson & Paul Hardcastle at the Apple store

nigella lawson apple app,

See Nigella in store talk about her new App

The Apple store on Regent Street seem to be putting on something special nearly every week these days.

At first glance Nigella Lawson would seem to be the strangest person to have there, I mean Nigella is lovely and all that but why would she be doing some talk at the Apple store instead of one of the bookstores.

You look at the Apple promo about the event and all it basically tells you is that she’ll be there from 5pm – 6pm doing a talk about how to make food quickly.

However go over to Nigella’s website and you realise the event is to promote her new App which was released on the 15th. I’ve no issue with that it’s just strange that the store promo doesn’t mention it.

Is Apple trying to pretend they’re only putting on these events because they want to entertain their customers?

Well considering how easy it’s getting to have an App created I think this is going to be a busy year for events at the store. It won’t be long before every A to D-list celeb wants to put something out.

I bet you any money by the end of the year you’ll have footballers showing you how to do tricks, take the perfect penalty etc. And just imagine when Beckham brings out his App that literally shows you how to Bend it like Beckham. You’ll have to queue up to get into the store.

That just leaves Apple with one problem are their customers going to get tired of the disruption these events cause. When you go to the store for some help and advice you don’t want to be told it’s too full you can’t come in.

What do you think should Apple continue to have celebrity events in-store?

To recap. Nigella Lawson will be in the Apple store in London on Regent Street on the 20th. Her talk starts at 5pm – 6pm. Then at 7pm Paul Hardcastle will also be in the store and if you know who he is, no other explanation is necessary. You know you have to be there, he’s on until 8pm.
