The easy post today would have been to go into the events happening on Sunday for St Patrick’s Day.
But a hundred and one blogs and websites are doing that with none of them adding anything different.
So why do people subscribe to a blog or visit a website that’s regurgitating what everyone else is saying, without even trying to put their own twist on it?
A good example of that is the current Van Gough exhibition. We covered the exhibition like so many others, but because we put something extra in our post, do a search for Van Gogh exhibition in London, you’ll see we come up on the first page of Google.
For a small blog like ours that’s quite impressive. But it’s only because the information in the post adds something extra for people going to the exhibition.
I think what I’m trying to say is if our blog or any other blog isn’t giving you something extra or telling you something you don’t already know, unsubscribe and move on. There are plenty of good blogs out there that you’ve never tried.
The event I’m going to mention now had quite a bit of publicity when it was first announced but now that’s died down this is the perfect time to go. Like many small exhibitions the first couple of weeks and the last week are always the busiest and frankly are the times to avoid.
Well the Gavin Bond Music photo exhibition ends on the 21st so if you go now you’ll have plenty of room to move about to see some excellent photos of rock and roll legends.
It doesn’t matter what style of music you like, you’ll get something out of this exhibition and it’s something you’ll be glad you went to see.
The gallery is not the easiest place to get to because it’s a good 10 minutes walk from Old Street tube and if you know Old Street tube you know what a nightmare that can be getting out at the right exit. To help you out I’ve put a map at the end.
The Gavin Bond Music exhibition is on at the Idea Generation Gallery, at 11 Chance Street, E2 7JB until March 21st and is free. It’s on Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm and 12 – 5pm on the weekends. To see some of his work visit his site at Gavin Bond. Here’s the map.
