A vintage fashion fair with a difference
The Vintage Fashion Fair near Primrose Hill is always popular and it’s a nice way to spend a bit of time on a lazy Sunday.
It’s not a huge fair so you get the chance to speak to the stallholders who are very knowledgeable and friendly.
The event this Sunday has a special twist, with it being Mother’s Day they are giving the first 30 mothers who attend with their son or daughter a little treat of handmade sweet treats.
A nice touch I thought but why only the first 30 mothers.
What do you do when the 31st mother turns up, say sorry none left but by all means come in and spend your money. It looks like a nice way of upsetting people and discouraging them from coming back.
It was a good idea to think of giving something to mothers, with its short-sighted execution it could be costly.
But it’s not just about mothers this month, there’s also a larger men’s section at the fair. This is welcome news because most vintage fashion fairs have lots of clothes and fashion items for women, but when it comes to us guys there’s next to nothing or it’s too expensive.
If you think you are going to go to the fair there are a limited number of free tickets available from their website. If you just turn up on the day you will have to pay £3. The nearest tube is Camden Town which is about a 10 minute walk away.
The Primrose Hill Vintage Fashion Fair is on this Sunday from 11am to 5pm. It’s £3 on the door or free if you download a ticket from the Vintage Fashion Fair website.
Do you think they should have given the special treat to all mothers or is that being too friendly?
