Storytelling to keep the kids absorbed

If you’re looking for something different to do with the kids in London, there aren’t many better places to go than the Unicorn Theatre.

The theatre is probably the best one in London for kids shows and other stuff like workshops and theatre activities. I haven’t mentioned it for a while because I didn’t think recent shows were up to their usual high standards.

However this month they’re back on track with a fascinating storytelling season. The stories are aimed at children in the 7+ age group and sound brilliant.

Also something to bear in mind, just because the age range is for the 7+ age group. You are allowed to bring younger children if you think they will enjoy the show.

Anyway what they’re doing is having three different themed story events. The first is about Viking myths, the second Greek myths and the third Irish myths. Anyone who’s ever been to one of their storytelling events will tell you kids get so absorbed in them and absolutely love it. The performers know how to bring a story to life.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of these performances get sold out because schools do block book tickets.  Have a look at their website and if there’s a show you like book it now, while there’s still plenty of availability.

As for getting to the theatre it couldn’t be much easier as it’s only about 10 minutes walk from London Bridge station. The season starts on Tuesday 2nd until Sunday 21st.

Well that’s about it and if you’ve been let others know what you thought of the theatre.

Also if you’ve got a question add it in the comments as someone else may have the same question and everyone can benefit from the answer.

Finally so that you don’t miss out on other things to do in London keep reading our blog.
