What to do in London when it’s raining – Head to the shops

Can you believe this London weather? It’s bad enough that it’s been constantly raining but it’s also bloody cold.

The last thing you want to be doing is sightseeing so why not try some retail therapy and head to the shops.

Now normally I don’t mention Westfield Shopping centre as the place to go, but it’s indoors, it’s warm and it just so happens they have quite a couple of events going on. Plus we have a couple of money off vouchers that you can use there to get some bargains and cheap meals.

So here goes.

For 3 days from Friday 19^th to Sunday 21^st there will be a Vivienne Westwood pop-up shop selling limited edition charity T-shirts. The T- shirts which cost £40 are in aid of women and especially at this time the Haiti relief effort.

The main Chinese New Year celebrations in London take place on Sunday 21^st. However Westfield are starting early and hosting a Chinese New Year fair in their main atrium on Friday 19^th and Saturday 20^th.

There will be Chinese music, dance and performers as well as traditional games and other activities. The opening ceremony will be at 6.30pm on the Friday and starting at 11am on Saturday there will be activities going on throughout the day.

To get to Westfield is very easy. You can get either the Central Line or the Hammersmith & City Line and it’s only about a 10 minute journey from the West End.
