Take part in various games at the Southbank Centre
What are you going to do this coming Monday, in the evening?
If you live in London you might grab a quick pint before heading home for a night in front of the TV or you might be good and go to the gym.
If you’re visiting London you might go to a show of some sort or have a meal out.
Nothing wrong with any of those things but I’ve got a far better suggestion. Go and play some incredible games at the Southbank Centre.
I can understand if you’re working the next day you might not be up for this, but if you’re on vacation this is an opportunity missed if you don’t go.
You see every now and then the Southbank hold what they call the Sandpit, a social games night. It consists of various interactive games designed for adults to play in teams or as individuals. I promise you, you’ve never seen or taken part in anything like this and you’ll love it.
The evening starts at 6.30 where you sign up to the games and it’s totally free to take part. It takes place in the Spirit Level at the Royal Festival Hall, which is part of the Southbank Centre. Just go to the reception and they’ll tell you where to go.
Here are a few of the games that I think sound like a lot of fun.
Casino Capitalism is a game for 20 players where you buy and sell shares and try to outwit everyone else. Phone Box Frenzy is a murder mystery game for 5 players where there’s been a murder at the Southbank Centre. And Prediction which is some sort of future quiz show.
There are about 10 games to take part in click Southbank Sandpit to find out some more information.
You know I think it’s this sort of thing that makes London such an exciting city to visit and live in. If you want to see or do something unusual, London has it and if you know where to look it doesn’t have to be expensive and in this case it’s free.
For a fun and good evening in London visit the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre this Monday 22nd at 6.30pm.
