Are professional restaurant critics needed anymore?

Are professional restaurant critics any better than a blogger who is passionate about food or even better than say someone who eats out regularly?

Personally I don’t think they are. If you don’t think they are either and you like eating out in London restaurants, you might want to become one of our restaurant critics.

Now don’t get too excited, it doesn’t pay anything. But if you do become one of our critics every so often we’ll ask you to review a restaurant and we’ll pick up the bill so you eat for free.

To stand a chance of becoming one of our critics all you need to do is do a review of 7 restaurants that haven’t been reviewed on our site in the last 6 months. The restaurants can be in any part of London, but we do place more value on reviews on restaurants that are within zones 1 or 2.

Normally to stand a chance of becoming one of our critics you have to do 12 reviews. So if you feel like taking part in this. When you do your first review, at the end of it, put that you heard about being a critic from this blog. That way we’ll know you only have to do 7 reviews to be considered.

I don’t know about you but I always think it’s strange that some people put such a lot of effort into doing reviews on certain sites. Yet many of those sites don’t even give you the chance to put a link to your website, blog, twitter or Facebook account.

When you do a review with us, as long as your link isn’t offensive you can put a link to your various accounts. So at least you get some link love back.

If you want to know a bit more or if you want to take part visit our site by clicking Be a restaurant critic.
