What London comedy club is worth going to?

There are comedy clubs in London

You couldn’t pay me to go to.

Yet there are others that are so good

I don’t mind if I have to queue.

But if you’re new to London

Or you’re not in the know

How do you know what clubs are safe in the front row?

So if you’re sitting comfortably

Eyes fixed to the screen

Here are my words of wisdom

About one club on the London comedy scene.

–

The Amused Moose is in Soho

It doesn’t cost a fortune to get in.

£10 is all they ask

That alone should make you grin.

–

It’s on every Saturday night

With good comedians guaranteed

You might even be lucky to see

A top star testing out a new routine.

–

But what I like about it most

And what makes it very rare

There’s no heckling allowed in the crowd

And the comedians hardly swear.

–

In other words what I’m saying

It’s a safe place to take your mum

You can sit her in the front row

And she won’t think you’re a bad son.

–

But if that’s too tame for you

Remember where you’re at.

You’re in Soho, Darling

The district for all kinds of this and that.

–
