royal academy of arts, january in london

Go behind the scenes of the Royal Academy

If you are at all interested in the Arts then it goes without saying that you’ll visit the Royal Academy of Arts. The highlight in the early part of this year will be the Van Gogh exhibition starting on the 23rd January.

However if you want to find out that bit more about the Academy and the exhibits you should look at a new tour that they have just started. The tour is called the Behind the scenes tour and they hold a day and evening tour once per month.

None of us as yet have been, but looking at the dates available the tour is proving very popular. Many dates have already sold out, there’s nothing left in April, but if you hurry the 12th January is still free.

The morning tour lasts for an hour and costs £12, while the evening tour is for 2 hours and costs £20, but that does include a talk with the curators and a glass of wine.

If you’re interested in the tour click Royal Academy for some more info and like I said book as soon as you can.

Also if you want to do something very different in the evening in London listen to our podcast on Bloomsbury Bowling.
