London film premiere of the Last Station

by Chris P on 23/01/2010

london premier, last station film premiere london

A-list stars worth waiting to see

Did you read our film premiere guide

It gave you tips, advice even places to rest your behind.

Everything was good apart from one thing

Not all premieres are in the Leicester Square ring.

And so it is with the one this Tuesday

Such a cute and small premier affair

So much so it’s hidden away in the Curzon in Mayfair

Normally I wouldn’t bother to write

About a premiere this small

Because the actors are usually all past it, way over the wall

But this one’s different

It’s A-listers all the way

Maybe not with lots of groupie love

But plenty of talent to make it worth the long stay

Giamatti, Plummer, McAvoy

Should all be there on the night.

But as good as they are

Helen Mirren’s the star and beats them out of sight.

And because the Curzon Mayfair is very small

You’ll be able to see the stars

Really up close and personal.

Now normally I’d say get to a premiere around noon

But this one’s so small

That could be way too soon.

Plus there’s something else to consider

There’s nothing around there

No place to rest or to take shelter.

But saying that, I’ve been to the Curzon many times

They’re a friendly bunch and may let you rest inside.

But in case they don’t, my advice would be

Aim to get there for about 3

From 6pm onwards you’ll start to see the stars

Camera lights flashing, Limos and fancy cars.

So if that’s your thing have a great time

And if you get any pictures

Send them over, we’ll put them online.
