England, Australia or New Zealand – where would you prefer to live?

Find out about a life down under

I know this event might seem a bit of a strange one to have. But over the weekend I was thinking about where to go on hols this year and then I starting thinking about living in another country and doing what we’re doing here, there.

I reckon at this time of year lots of us are thinking similar thoughts hence the mention for this event. I’m not thinking about going to Australia but a lot of people I know would jump at the chance and if you’re one of them this post is for you.

The Down Under Live event literally touches all the bases for anyone wanting to know the ins and outs of emigrating to Australia or New Zealand. It’s only on for two days, this Saturday and Sunday and costs £10. But if you hurry they are doing a 2 for 1 offer on the tickets and for £5 it’s got to be worth going to see what it’s all about.

Looking at their website I was impressed by all the jobs help and advice that will be available and surprised by the type of jobs being advertised.

I mean if you were a roof tiler or a plumber would you prefer to do that in England or in Australia. How there can be a shortage of those skills is beyond me, nurses, doctors and other medical professions I can understand, but tilers and plumbers.

As I said the event is on this weekend at the Design Centre in Islington. Although that’s a bit way out from the usual events we mention, it’s easy to get there being about 5 minutes walk from Angel tube station. Also there are some good shops, restaurants and bar/pubs up there that you can go to afterwards.

Thanks for the comment Jack

‘Cool’ is different for everyone and from what you say New Zealand sounds pretty cool to me

No contest: New Zealand. Biking, nature, better weather… Maybe not as ‘cool’ as London, but I find I don’t care much about that anymore.
