I don’t normally write about what events are on at the Westfield Shopping Centre, unless they’ve got something worth you travelling all that way. At the end of the day it’s just another shopping centre, OK it’s big, but so is the West End.
But anyway the reason for mentioning it this week is they’ve got Mariah Carey turning on their Christmas lights. I don’t know how much they must be paying her for this, because in London when it comes to turning on the Christmas lights. If you’re a star you’re doing the Oxford Street/Regent Street lights, not some out of town shopping centre.
Well they’re making a big thing about it and she’ll also be signing copies of her new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and fragrance, Forever. The event takes place on Thursday 19th with the turning on of the lights at about 6.15pm.
