things to do in london, santas secret village

The most original Santa idea yet

One of the many things I like about the Southbank Centre is that they never let you down when it comes to providing free fun things to do. All year they’ve had great activities going on and Christmas is no exception.

Rather than go into all that’s happening I’ll mention what I think is the must see event, which is the Cologne Christmas Market.

Yes they have all the usual wooden chalets selling Christmas goods and food and drink. There’s even the little carousel for kids and traditional music to get you in the festive mood.

But what I think makes it stand out is the Santa’s Secret Village that they also have. Here you can go along and hear a storytelling session by Santa himself. Children can ask him questions, have their photo taken and find out all about him. Each session lasts for 30 minutes which you book in advance.

I think this is such a wonderful idea and although it’s not free, it’s only £15 per child which includes being accompanied by one adult. The Christmas Market is on until Wednesday 23rd December with the Santa storytelling sessions starting at 10am and the last one starting at 5.30pm.

When you have the EPok London Pack we try to keep you informed of things going on while you’re here on vacation. If you’d like a Pack and like to get deals in London simply visit epok.com.
