The biggest film premiere in London this year
The film premiere of Disney’s A Christmas Carol is set to be a huge affair. Unlike a normal premiere this one is being run in partnership with the Mayor of London and as far as I know nothing like this has been done before. The idea behind the partnership is to welcome Christmas to London with a Dickens theme.
How Disney pulled this off is amazing, but both parties reap the benefits – Disney get great publicity for their film and Londoners/tourists get a much better opening to Christmas and the Christmas lights than usual.
As for the premiere, expect there to be huge crowds. All the stars of the film such as Jim Carey and Colin Firth are due to be there. The stars usually show up from 6pm and with this being the world premiere they’ll definitely be spending more time on the red carpet. If you want to get a good spot make sure you get there in the early afternoon with plenty to keep you warm. It all takes place on Tuesday 3rd.
