Christmas starts early in London
I thought it was a joke when I heard about this. See what you make of it.
Earlier in the month Selfridges announced that they were taking bookings for their Santa Christmas Grotto and the first booking date was 21st November.
I thought that was a bit early so I took a look to see what the availability was like. I couldn’t believe it. Most of the time slots for December were already gone and if you wanted to go on a Friday or weekend forget about it, they’d all gone too.
What this all means is, if you’re coming over with young children who want to see Santa, book now. If Selfridges, which doesn’t really have a huge toy department, has almost sold out so quickly, the same will be true of the other stores when they announce their dates.
