The V & A Museum of Childhood is a good place to go with children

Many tourists come to London with young children and don’t realise there are specific events and activities put on especially for young children.

I often highlight Somerset House and the Southbank but haven’t mentioned the V & A Museum of Childhood for a while.

If you’re coming to London in September or October with under 5′s this is a hidden gem that you just have to visit. Every day they have some sort of activity going on but on the Fridays of the 18th and 25th September and 2nd, 9th and 16th October they have the Wondertots Wonderland Adventure.

Here’s how they’re describing the event – Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf? Follow Artburst into the magical world of fairytales with Wonderland Adventure, a series of creative workshops for under 5s combining art, storytelling, drama and movement.

The location isn’t the easiest to get to, but as the events are free I’d suggest going to Liverpool Street and getting a black cab. It’s only a mile or so away and the cab fare won’t be very much.

As I said the event is free but you do have to call to register your place, full details can be found here.

I don’t know any guidebook that can tell you about specific events for when you’re here. The EPok London Pack can, for details visit epok.com.

Also if you want to know what the weather’s likely to be, here’s a monthly breakdown. London weather monthly forecast.

You can help someone, somewhere by sharing this. Thanks
