If you’re arriving at Heathrow and want to get into London as quickly as possible your best option is the Heathrow Express. No real tip there, most guidebooks will tell you that.
But the time it can take you getting the ticket is enough to make you want to get back on the plane. The problem is most of the people trying to get a ticket are tourists and are either unfamiliar with the currency or English may not be the first language or they may just not be sure how to get to their destination.
